My Apparently Inexcusable Absence

I was recently gently reminded that I have not posted in nearly a month, and that is **BAD**. So, here is a quick run-down of what you have missed in the last month of my life:

1. I bought a new car. Her name is Stella. Stella likes to go fast.
2. I went home to Kansas for Easter. It was cold, but I still got an ice cream from Sonic.
3. I visited Jacksonville, Illinois, which IS southern Illinois no matter how often you tell me it is no, with my Kenosha family. It made me miss being in the middle of nowhere more often.
4. I attended the wedding of my dear friend Tatiana to her beloved, Chico. It was fabulous.
5. I have churned out more pages of writing and passed by more hours of reading in the library than I ever thought possible in one month, in my desperate attempt to get caught up on my homework, and not (as I fear) fail a rather difficult Seminary class. The jury is still out on that one.
6. I have watched several good films, both for class and otherwise, including Stranger Than Fiction, Half Nelson, 21 Grams, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, and Life is Beautiful.
7. I have also watched way too many episodes of America's Next Top Model and The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll from cwtv.com. No one should EVER have put television online.
8. I got a haircut, at a real salon, for the first time in a VERY long time. In fact, it is the first time since late summer that I have even had my hair cut.
9. I have discovered Trader Joe's Spinach Dip. It is awesome.

And that's about all I can come up with. Number 5 has been the biggest event of all, and is continuous.

So, while I am sure I will try to be more diligent about posting on this little blog, I make no promises. And now I am off to class... au revoir!

you named your car?! that's so funny. ;D But Stella is definitely a good choice.

Accept, O Lord, my thanks and praise for all that you have done for me. I thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love. Above all, I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of His Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom. Amen.
