A Weekend of Food *just be glad it wasn't green*

In honor of St. Patrick's Day in the city of Chicago, and a visit from Shooter Torseth, himself, the Emilies converged on my little apartment, and there was much eating at various locations throughout Chicago. The two-day blitz began with a joyous breakfast outing to Cafe Selmarie right here in my own Lincoln Square, bringing together E. Manning, Ann-Marie, and David for much coffee, laughter, and syrupy goodness. Not to mention a delightful family who took this photo for us, without charging us anything once we proved we were all wearing green of some kind. :)

More photos to follow, most of which will be posed around tables at places such as Giordano's, Clarke's (on Belmont), and Tre Kroner. What will then be noticed, surely, is the lack of food on such tables. That's right. We ate it all. In fact, there may be no more food left in this fine city. Our apologies to those who were planning on eating.

Mama Gilmore called us "the Emilies!!!" I LOVE IT!
But not as much as I love Megans. ;) I'll get you my St. Patty's Day weekend pics as soon as I get them uploaded to a computer - haven't had the time to do that just yet.
How come you never tried your special dress on for us? ;)

Accept, O Lord, my thanks and praise for all that you have done for me. I thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love. Above all, I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of His Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom. Amen.
