Oscar Wrap-Up (a wee bit late)

Well, folks, Sunday night was glorious.
I am STOKED that Kathryn Bigelow won Best Director, and that The Hurt Locker won best picture.

Personally, I think Sandra Bullock should not have won Best Actress. I know I may be in a bit of a minority, there, but I think she was the safe choice. It was a good performance, but I think that this woman deserved the statue:

All in all, it was a fun show to watch, and I was surrounded by great friends and fellow movies-lovers for all 3 and a half hours of it. (And, in all honesty, most of the movies nominated for any award this year were worth watching, so hop on your Netflix account and add them to your queue (or visit an actual rental store *gasp*)!)

Thanks for such a fun evening!

Accept, O Lord, my thanks and praise for all that you have done for me. I thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love. Above all, I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of His Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom. Amen.
