States as Puzzle Pieces

If the states in the United States were puzzle pieces, I would lose the ones that are between Illinois and Kansas. Or I would cut Chicago off of the corner of Illinois and put it in the middle of Missouri.

Alas, the states are not puzzle pieces, and I remain hundreds of miles from this little face.

In better news, spring may actually be here! This was a great weekend in the city, with a surprise visit from my aunt (and great friend ) Stephanie. And, Becca had her baby out in Washington! Many exciting things!

Oh he's SO cute! I bet you miss him so much with those two states in the way...

Ooooh... I can see why you'd be lamenting our map's most inconsiderate arrangement. I'd love to rearrange it myself...

I hear ya, my friend. I'd cut out Indiana to be closer to Michigan, and Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylania, and New York to be closer to Vermont. It's just not fair, is it? He's so cute.

Come on, spring! And congrats to Becca! Was it a boy or a girl?

Accept, O Lord, my thanks and praise for all that you have done for me. I thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love. Above all, I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of His Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom. Amen.
