My hometown hospital, Clay County Medical Center, in Clay Center, Kansas has entered a short film in a contest to win a BIG prize. Serving a fairly large county area, the Medical Center has to this time only had access to a mobile MRI unit, which is not always available when patients need it. This contest will reward the winner with a Siemans MRI unit, valued at $800,000, to be installed INSIDE the hospital, ending the need for the mobile MRI truck. This would be a wonderful addition to the hospital, making an MRI available for patients all the time!
But to win, we need votes! The contest runs through the end of the year, and you can vote every day from any computer. After you view the video on the first day, you can just go to the site each day and vote, without watching it again. (However, it is SO good, you're going to want to watch it more than once!)
Larger hospitals will have an advantage when it comes to the voting process. The only way we can win is to spread the word to everyone we know and ask that they take just a few seconds to vote each day!
So, go to this site, look for "Granny gets an MRI" entered by Clay County Medical Center, watch the movie, and then VOTE!
