Changes

This afternoon we had a farewell meal for our own Charlene, who is leaving the University after five years of service.
We will miss this Queen, who has kept things lively on our floor.

We took her to Vines on Clark Street in Wrigleyville, with a great view of the Field.
And, in all the time I have lived in Chicago, I have never before taken a picture of Wrigley Field. So, here it is:

Then, upon our return to North Park, we were greeted with this site across the street:

Opening tomorrow, this new establishment in our neighborhood is sure to change a few things.
If you happen to stop by, at the corner of Foster and Sawyer, pop on up to the 2nd floor of Old Main to say hello!

um, did you notice in this picture that it said it was opening in 7 days?

weird.

Accept, O Lord, my thanks and praise for all that you have done for me. I thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love. Above all, I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of His Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom. Amen.
