Yes, this giant orange moose can be seen from the highway. I am postitive it prompts many to stop and stare ... and the trampled ground surrouding is either the moose's nightly walks or MANY photo opportunities.Thursday, November 16
The Wonders of ... Wisconsin?!?
Oh, these United States never cease to amaze me. I grew up in a state that boasts The World's Largest Ball of Twine, The World's Largest Steam Shovel, The World's Deepest Hand-dug Well, and the Garden of Eden. There is, of course, Graceland, Las Vegas, Dollywood -- even Hollywood, for that matter -- to add to the list of things one would ONLY find in "America the Beautiful." But on a recent trip through Wisconsin (heading to the more "normal" state of Minnesota) Emily and I were quite taken with the sights at Black River Crossing Oasis, just off I-94 between Madison and Eau Claire. Below are some photos for your viewing pleasure. I have just one question: Why orange??

Accept, O Lord, my thanks and praise for all that you have done for me. I thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love. Above all, I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of His Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom. Amen.

i love that the largest ball of twine is located along wisconsin street. an homage, perhaps? ;)
but my favorite pic is of emily doing her leaping deer impression.
looks like you had a fun time!
that pic does make me appear very nimble.
Very excellent pictures. And funny. Looks like fun. And I believe growing up in Kansas prepared you to appreciate such things. :)
what a great orange moose! I'm sure the ones we have in Sweden are not as exciting. ;)
